New Mini Book Kit A Week Make & Take Buffet

This year we are going to try something a little different
with our mini albums and classes. We have found that with
all our customers busy lives that no matter which days/nights
we pick for mini album classes someone always has to
miss out on the fun due to a scheduling conflict. So here's
what we are going to try.

Every Sunday/Monday we will "unveil" a new Mini Album Kit Of
The Week. The kits will be available in the store and
also online. Everyone is welcome to come in***anytime*** the
store is open purchase that week's kit. You are more
than welcome to sit down at the "buffet area" along with
our store sample and complete your kit or you can
chose to take your kit home to assembly using the
close up color photos that are included. If you need
any help or you are not familiar with a product
in the kit we will be on hand in the store to help
you.

Some kits offered will be limited to only 2-4 kits depending on
product availability. If you cant make it in one week
but the kit you would like is still available you of
course may come in...purchase it and work at the buffet
area anytime the store is open.

We mentioned this idea at a few of the crops
lately and the feedback was positive so we
are going to kick off the idea this week with
a mini album kit designed by Patti using
the Vintage Valentine Collection by Fancy Pants Designs.
The album is 6x6 and 5 pages front/back.

We Will Delay Opening Today For A Few Hours

I have been "on the fence" about whether to delay
opening the store for a few hours this morning. Watching
the temperture.

I know
Forsyth County has canceled many activities as a
pre-caution and I have always posted that we follow
what the county/schools do.

Looking out I thought yea...roads are fine...but
when Cocoa and I ventured out our deck, trees, back driveway,
front drive way etc are very icy and slippery. Since I
am a little over 10 miles north of the store I am going
to wait and see what the temp does.

We have a ton of CHA orders starting to ship along with
+8 new mini album kits, our Superbowl Crop next Sat and more.

Generation Z one of Little Yellow Bicycle's best releases in a while
is here. Several gals have asked and yes they have gone
back to the original paper finish ....not that slick finish the
last 3 lines had.

A Muse Classes With Michelle Clark Saturday January 23rd

Michelle will be teaching 3 different Valentine themed classes on Saturday
January 23 starting with the first class at 10:30am.

A Copic Valentine
10:30am-12:30pm

In this class, you'll use the techniques learned in
Copic 101 and 201 to create Valentine cards. A basic
knowledge of Copic blending will be helpful.

Valentine Sparkle
1:00pm-3:00pm
$22
We'll use glitter and glitz to create
a variety of Valentine greetings.

Sweet Treats
3:30pm-5:30pm
$22
In this class, you will make a variety of Valentine
inspired containers. While these containers will have a
Valentine theme, you can easily use them for any occassion.

A basic class kit: adhesive of choice, detail scissors, &
pencil, is required for all classes.

Everyone knows we are big Teresa Collins favs so we will
be ordering everything she comes out with at CHA. Here is

Pictures From Last Weekend's Workshops With Donna Downey

Just sharing some of the +100 pictures we took last weekend
of the 2 workshops. Both class kits were jam packed with a ton
of product. My favorite workshop was the 20 page Prima Fabric
Album workshop. That kit was full of goodies... Love the album, prima embroidered birds, houses, fleur de lis and flowers. All those canvas embroidered tags
rub-ons and more. The evening class was Donna's paint, watercolor and
doodle chipboard/acrylic album workshop. This was a technique filled
colorful fun class. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

This is the first time American Crafts has teamed with another designer to create a line, and Elizabeth worked closely with us to ensure a balance between our trademark look/feel and the feminine, playful touch of the designer herself.
A longtime AC fan, Elizabeth was Creating Keepsake’s 2007 Scrapbooker of the Year and now writes a column in CK magazine. She’s also author of the recently released book 52 More Scrapbooking Challenges, and she chronicles her projects and life as a mother of two on her blog.

Teresa Collins Hints of Sneak Peeks For 4 New CHA Lines

I have FOUR complete collections debuting. I have NINE papers that are double sided in each collection. In addition, I am debuting 12x12 transparencies for EACH collection. I have to say that these are just so COOL...and makes me giddy thinking about them. I have alphabet stickers...debuting with EACH collection. You know...you kept asking and well- they are adorable and classic. Oh, and did I mention RIBBONS to match each collections. Yes, plural...THREE designs in ONE package and they are another fave. I have MORE too...chipboard books to match EACH collection and another SPECIAL book that I love to "touch"...ha!!!! Did I mention chipboard accents to match each line too... Oh, there is more...

I am so excited to let you know that I will debut NEW stamps with EACH collection. It is a sheet of several images and I have created NON STOP with these since I got them. They are high quality and stamp in fine detail
