Comfort & Joy Cookie Recipe Album Class/Kit Friday Dec 4th or Saturday Dec 5th

We have the sample for this year's Comfort & Joy Cookie
Recipe Mini Album Class/Kit Finished and in the store.
We started taking sign ups last week. Since last year's
class sold out so fast we will be offering the class 3 times
this year. We will be using one of the two new My
Mind's Eye Christmas paper collections for the
album. These albums make cute teacher's gifts, secret
sister gifts or a great keepsake for your favorite
holiday treats.
Class times are
Friday Dec 4th 10:30am-12:30pm
Friday December 4th 6:30pm-8:30pm
Saturday December 5th 10:30am-12:30pm

Each class will be limited to 12 customers.
The class/kit fee is $20 and includes all the supplies
to make the mini album. You will need to bring
12 copies of your cookie/treat recipe printed out
on cards or cardstock no larger than 4x6. If needed
please print on the front and back rather than 2 cards
for longer recipes. Also please bring a sample of
your recipe for each person attending. We will have
little to go boxes for everyone to take home to share
treats with their families.

If you are interested in a kit but cannot attend these will
be up for sale in our Etsy Shop and also in the store. Each kit
comes with supplies for each page precut, individually bagged
by page and we include a close up color photo of each page for
easy assembly. We do offer free shipping on all of our kits
to addresses in the USA.

We already have several ladies down for the Saturday class so
please let us know if you are interested in attending.

they did not have a new release/did not attend

With a landslide of conflicting emotions we have decided to close the doors at Scenic Route. Our last 6 years doing business in the scrapbook industry have been both fun and challenging. Through the years I have learned so much, I know that we can do anything we set our hearts on with a little creativity and a lot of hard work. With that, I am looking forward my next creative adventure.

Thanks to you, Scenic Route had growth year after year culminating in our best month ever in August 2008. Unfortunately, September 2008 brought economic hardships to our company, the scrapbook industry, and this nation.

Thank you so much to all of you who have taken this journey with us and supported our efforts to bring fun and innovative products to the scrapbook industry.

Bella Blvd Summer CHA 2009 Papers Are Here Also

We received several deliveries the past 2 days so once
we get it checked in and out in the store I will
post some pictures of these paper lines.

We had our last space filled this morning but this afternoon I received an email
from one of our regulars that she has to have emergency surgery and has to cancel.
So we still have 1 spot left as of this afternoon.

Store Closed Today

Hi Everyone

Just posting a quick post that the store will
be closed today.

For those in the Atlanta
area you know what the weather has been like
with all the inches and inches and
inches of rain, storms, floods, roads eroding,
sink holes developing etc. Jonathan called from
our other house is Lawrenceville yesterday
morning and we have had major roof damage
with 4 leaks in the upstairs bedrooms. So
it has been 24 hours of Allstate and the
BEST local roofing company around. I
will need to be back over there today
though. So much for getting a little
rest after last weeks dental surgery
and our mini album retreat this past weekend.

Good news is the ole mouth is finally
healing and the pain is just about
gone :)

As of this morning we have 1 spot left for

This is a 7 page album using the
new Ooh La La For Him Papers
by My Mind's Eye. The album
base is 6 inch square. Embellishments
used include chipboard/crackled letters,
chipboard people, lace, ribbon, steel
key, buttons, floss, bling, crackled
chipboard accents, binder clip and more.
If you cannot attend the class but would
like a class kit we will have them in the
store and in our Etsy Shop. Class kits
are $22 and include all supplies plus
close up color photos. We offer FREE
shipping on all of our kits to addresses

Back From Big Canoe

We arrived back home late yesterday afternoon from
our mini album weekend at Big Canoe.

We met some TERRIFIC ladies and had a blast
teaching our 5 mini albums and 5 make and
takes. I will some some pictures from
the weekend in a day or so. And yes this
gal even got in some scrapping time Saturday
night till 4am Sunday. I believe there are
even some pics to prove it :)

HUGE thank yous to Linda, Maggie, Diana,
Michelle, Genia, Paula, Stacy and my Jen for all
the designing, prepping and planning of the albums
and make and takes. GREAT BIG HUGE thank yous to
my traveling pals Michelle, Genia and Stacy you
gals were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything is checked in and out in the store

Wednesday 9-16-09 News

Everything went well with the dental surgery
yesterday. After 6 hours I have a whole new
upper right side. AMAZING...Now we only have
veneers on my front teeth and a few small details
and I am DONE...DONE...DONE..with this dental
makeover I started :)

My Jennifer was my DD and was a patient one.
She roamed around got her hair cut, did some
shopping and they called her when it was time
to pick me up. Unfortunatley I was not the best
semi conscieous patient. No wheel chair for me ..
thank you...but apparently I needed one :)
She was told to keep
me up and talking for 2 more hours. Not to
let me fall asleep. All I
remember on the ride home was Mom stay awake,
you cant fall asleep, come on work with me, talk
to me about something, mom you did it again... wake
up..(She should have talked about scrapping maybe
then I was have been a better participant)

Then we get home and she is checking the BP
with the wrist monitor every 15 minutes (like in the
hosital everytime you try to rest that thing goes off)
But since my BP soars at the dentist she was to take
it though out the night so my dentist would know when
he calls. Add to that Gerald calling
from out of town not once but 1,2,3,4,5+ checking on me and
asking her a ton of questions and reminding her what to do..
Poor Girl....
At one point I remember her coming in and checking to see if I drank
my Gatorade (yuck..so answer NO) then she informs me if I have to get
out of bed to go to the bathroom to call her that I was toooo woobly to
walk myself...HAVE THE PARENT ROLES REVERSE HERE ???? But I will say
for a 20 year old girl she was AWESOME and I will most definately
keep her :)

So with all said and done I will be in the store today
from 10:30 until 3/4pm. Just not sure I can make it all day.

Thursday we will be in there regular hours 10:30-5
Friday --A half day as we get ready to leave for our retreat
at Big Canoe this weekend.

We have more goodies coming in and more mini album classes/kits/crops etc to post but I will wait and do that when I am back home resting tonight.

We will post individual pics of the papers and embellishments

A Few Store Reminders For This Week

Just posting a reminder that we will be closed
tomorrow for my dental surgery. By mid afternoon
I will have a whole new upper right side. Then
we will only have the veneers on the front left
to do :)

We will be in the store Wed,Thursday and
Friday morning. Then we will be off for
our mini book weekend retreat at Big Canoe.
So the store will be closed Friday afternoon
and all day Saturday.

We have been prepping for several days (thanks
to Jennifer, Paula, Michelle & Genia) getting
all the kits ready and cant wait for the
weekend. Lots of scrapping, chatting,
meeting some new scrappers, great mountain
air and a terrific cabin :) We are teaching
5 different mini albums all of which will be
available in the store and on Etsy. I will
post a peek later today.

coming into the store.
We saw the Vintage Poppy line at Summer CHA and
loved the color combinations, rubons and tulle flowers.
