to spend the weekend with us. Take a look at all
the home baked goodies she brought with her.
I almost couldn't fit them all on the kitchen
island so I could get a picture.
Dad always loved baking everything he could
get his hands on for Christmas and Mom
continues to do so. Every Christmas dinner
we have my Dad's recipe for poppy seed dinner
rolls and think of Dad as we pass the basket
around the table. We had a great time
Sunday shopping at the Lakewood Antique/
Flea Market Center. I picked up several
vintage ornaments for the tree in the
piano room plus a few Santas for my collection
in the den, a few ornaments for the traditional
tree in the den and my country themed one
in the breakfast room along a few other
Christmas goodies.
We both miss my Dad terribly even more so
during the holidays because my father
absolutely loved Christmas and made it
a very special time of year with lots of
surprises. Spending the
day together shopping, snacking on funnel cakes
and French Vanilla Cappuccinos was just what
we needed :) Our house is full of activity
getting last minute details taken care of
and visiting with friends in and out. I hope
everyone is having as much fun during this last
few days of the Christmas rush. Remember to keep
your cameras handy I have been getting some terrific
candid shots of everyone.
