A customer came into the store Tuesday (Kimberly) and we were chatting about all the new products introduced last week at CHA among other things we scrappers talk about. During our conversation she mentioned something on her blog so she and I got on the ole lap top ...........OMG you should see this gal's blog....her work... her layouts....I sat in awe for probably at least 30 minutes looking a dozens (actually +100 incredible layouts). She is one of the most talented gals
I have seen. I just love everything she has done :)
When I got home that night I logged back on and sat looking at more of her work and reading her blog. I emailed her and asked her if she would mind if I put her blog on my fav blog link on the store blog and she said sure :) If you have some time check her blog out at
http://www.barnyardscraps.blogspot.com/
FYI Her DS reported to Oklahoma last week (I believe) for basic training
at Fort Sill. Having strong family ties to the military myself I know she
is one proud mom as she should be :)

Orders, Orders & More Orders
Boy has the past week been BUSY!
I have spent sooooo many hours online looking at new products, order forms and catalogs that I have had to leave my contacts out for a few days due to eye strain...
But boy has it been fun seeing all the new goodies that are heading to LSS's in the next few weeks. Several of you have emailed, called or even been in the store asking what all I planned on carrying the next several months.
The choices are just endless there are sooo many great new lines out there along with several new companies that have some great things.
I thought I would post some pics of some of items heading our way soon.
It may be much later tonight or tommorrow before I get those pics loaded.
A little sneak peek list includes

Noel and Zoe will ship mid Oct
Autumn Leaves---- great new acrylic stamps
Technique Tuesday-----great new stamps and technique tiles
Queen & Co-----lots of goodies

We received this collection this morning. I was bummed to receive an email from them yesterday that they wouldnt be at CHA July and that no new lines are being released this summer. In the past week we have received 5 of their lines for the 1st time and everyone has loved the papers, rub-ons and ribbons. Boy have we been busy
I can't believe how busy the store has been the past 2 weeks.
We have met alot of new scrapbookers just discovering our store the past several days and had a blast spending time with everyone during our 10 for $10 crops each Saturday.
Earlier today we had the pleasure of having the Georgia Peaches Scrapbook Group join us for their monthly crop :)
I have been working on so many projects, ideas, doing alot of pre-cha ordering and rearranging the whole store that I have been really bad about posting to the blog but I will try and do better starting this coming week. I know many of you are reading the blog often to see what new items have come in and what events and classes are coming up.
We have had so many changes going on this month... all for the better of the store. Lots of new items...new samples...classes and more. So you should be seeing quite a few posts coming up soon as we confirm everything.
Several customers, croppers, friends and past employees of mine at Michaels all of whom are very talented ladies have gotten together to help me re-do the inside of the store, create a ton of layouts, samples, work on kit ideas and class ideas for the fall. I have always felt we needed more samples and ideas all around the store and there just is never enough hours in the day. I have been working in over-drive the past month without a single day off and still have a mile long list of things I want to make and do to the store. However, every day the store looks more and more the way I want it to.
This week we have added several new lines (Crate Paper, Gel-a-tin Acrylic Stamps, Queen & Company, Maya Road, Zutter/Bind It All and more)
For those who are reading the blog for the first time and those who are out of town stopping in when they are in town we now carry products from over 30 companies. Here is our list of most of the lines we now carry. (I am sure I have left a few out) We continue to add new lines just about every week.

Explosion Box Make It and Take It
this past Saturday. I am loving the new 10 for $10 Crops.
I actually get to sit down with everyone and crop/play also :)
This past Saturday I sat in on Jennifer's
Explosion Box Make It and Take It. Here are some pics of
the puppy themed box I made :)
Saturday's Crop
We spent the day working on anything from
layouts, to vacation mini books to altered frames.
One of the gals volunteered to teach us all how to
make those little explosion boxes. (thanks to Jennifer B...you
were awesome) I love my box I made for pics of the
new puppy and another gal made a really cute
box using Doodlebug Designs papers.
I will post a few pics later on today of my box.
I haven't printed out the pics of the puppy yet but the box is really cute
thanks again Jennifer :)

Creative Imaginations Honey Dew Paper Collection, Autumn Leaves
new French Twist Rub-On Titles and some velvet ribbon.
We had alot of fun making several new layouts and
store samples during our
Design Team Workshop last Friday :)
Monday July 2nd, 2007
Creative Imaginations Honey Dew Collection.
The colors in this collections are terrific!.
The lime and teal scallop edge papers have little tiny
punches along the edge and the bracket/word
sheet has tons of possibilities :)
I will post a sample layout later made by one
of our talented design team members.
